Rafting Summer Camps
River rafting is one of the most common adventurous sports activities undertaken today. Children enjoy taking part in this sport. They can join rafting summer camps to gain some experience in this adventure and also take some time off and relax a bit amongst the beautiful, green nature. In most of these camps, no prior experience is required. The camps are designed such that every kid can benefit and learn something new from it.




SUMMER CAMP NEWS:
Pre School Sports Camp, 10-11am - Cecil Arena - 2706 North East Rd, North East, MD
Soccer, Track & Field, Kickball, Tball, Flag Football Children ages 3-5 years old will learn the fundamentals of games such as soccer, t-ball, tumbling, tag and other age appropratie games that will get their competitive juices flowing. Focus Skills: foot eye and hand eye coordination, running in various pathways, jumping, kicking, passing, striking, throwing, catching, dodging and ball skills....lots of movement and sports fun! Class begins at 10 am and meets for 45 minutes each day starting August 8 - 12. The fee for the week of camp is $32.00. Geography of Warren County, KY

According to the 2000 census, the county has a total area of 547.69 square miles , of which 545.21 square miles is land and 2.48 square miles is water. Geographic features The land in the south and southwest of the county is predominantly flat. In the western side of the county the land is hilly with steep ridges and rocky and cliff-ridden near Gasper River. In the east the land is rolling near Drakes Creek. In the north the land is possibly the most rugged since it lies between Green River and Barren River with very tall ridges near Riverside and Richardsville. The major drainage in Warren county is Barren River which flows through Bowling Green and is surrounded by steep ridges in some areas. There are several sizable hills in Bowling Green proper. Much culture has arisen around Bowling Green's hills with an old reservoir, hospital and civil war fort on one, much of Western Kentucky Universities campus on another, Hobson Grove, a historic Italian Renaissance style civil war era plantation estate on another and yet another civil war fort on another. The Green River forms the northern boundary of the county. Those tributaries of the Green River that flow through Warren County are the Barren and Gasper rivers, Drake's and Jennings creeks and Bay's Fork . Shanty Hollow Lake is in the northwest corner of the county. The flat elevated areas in the west and the flatland in the south and southwest have soil that is fertile and supports tobacco , hay , corn and soybean crop production. The rest of the land is predominantly clay soil and is rocky and not very suitable for agriculture and many occupants use it for livestock, horses and hunting. Major highways Interstate 65 William H.
